SUNLAB GROUP Ltd was founded in 2008 from an idea by a single professional, Dr. Giglio Filippo, who identified a natural application for the knowledge he acquired during his chemistry degree and subsequent in-depth master’s-level studies on chemical processes applied to environmental remediation techniques.

Since January 2016, Sunlab has been operating with its own laboratory at LS 2.0.12 – Sir Temi Zammit Buildings, Malta Life Sciences Park, in San Gwann (Malta).
The laboratory space covers approximately 130 m², providing Sunlab with the capacity to grow into a cutting-edge facility offering world-class resources, including laboratories, offices and a range of fully equipped shared facilities—supporting both local and international research organizations in their work to explore and innovate.
